Abstract

The article reveals the concept of professional tolerance as a strategic quality of a future teacher’s personality, which determines the effectiveness of pedagogical interaction in a multicultural, inclusive, and post-conflict educational environment. It summarizes contemporary scientific approaches to understanding tolerance not only as a socially desirable trait, but also as an integrative professional competence with pronounced cognitive, emotional, ethical, and behavioral content. An analysis of interdisciplinary sources that outline the main components, mechanisms, and conditions for the formation of professional tolerance in the system of higher pedagogical education is conducted.
Pedagogical strategies for the development of a tolerant position of future teachers in the context of personal development, cultural sensitivity, digital ethics, inclusion, and moral choice are substantiated.
The study focuses on the idea of a holistic pedagogical model that combines psychological and pedagogical interventions, dialogical educational practices, training methods, intercultural interaction, and reflective tools. Key aspects of tolerance formation are highlighted: the development of self-acceptance, empathy, locus of control, flexible thinking, the ability to decentralize, and ethical support. It has been established that effective preparation of future teachers for pedagogical activity requires the creation of a safe, supportive educational environment in which tolerance is not a subject of study but a practice of everyday coexistence.
The article contains theoretical generalizations and practical recommendations for integrating tolerance as a professional value into all levels of the educational process–from the content of professional disciplines to formats of student self-government, interpersonal communication, and digital interaction. The need to create diagnostic tools, develop adaptive teacher training programs, and expand research in the context of crisis conditions (martial law, migration, identity transformation) is emphasized. The results obtained are aimed at forming a new pedagogical worldview focused on the individual, dignity, openness, and democratic values.
